Hey William==I haven't heard of this happening unless the things that the lights reparesent are malfunctioning. If the check engine light is on, go to Auto Zone nd have the codes read free.GoodluckJoe Remember if most or all are on and say you turn the headlights on and some go out or the high beams and the indicator lights 2 or more bulbs . LOOK for bad ground wiring at or near the cluster. This also if turnsignals do the same .Grounds are the single most overlooked issues both on lighting and computer or sensor problems. When in doubt check it out.
Warning lights come on when there is a problem. An Engine management light comes on when there is a problem within the engine, that may cause problems later.
Is it possible an electrical problem can cause my engine coil to burn on my Mazda 323
Most likely problem is the alternator. Even if youv've replaced it with a rebulit most rebuilders put in the wrong voltage regultaor in the alt so all your warning lites come on
loose conections
Directly, no, but it's possible that the same root cause (something wrong with the electrical system) could make both warning lights come on.
It is possible that a wheel speed sensor is bad. This will cause the anti lock braking to not read the wheel correctly which would be a brake problem that would cause a light.
If the headlights are on and brake lights work but not the tail lights, it is possible there is a short in the electrical wires. Another cause for this could be that the tail light bulbs are burned out. Most vehicles have more than one bulb inside the tail lights to control different lights at the same time.
The good news is the brake lights still appear to work even when this warning is displayed. Does anyone know if the brake lights are at risk of not coming on when you hit the brakes?
If the motors are working, then there has to be a problem between the motors and the lights. If they are only "working" though if you bench test them, and they don't actually do anything when you turn on the lights, then there must be an electrical problem such as a break in a wire or a bad ground to the motors.
It was my alternator, needed rebuild.
Check the fuse.
a wiring problem.. a nightmare even for a good shop. Try to find a shop that specializes in electrical work (not a general shop).
