Everybody is different. For some people, it may be one or two drinks. Their BAL may still be well below the legal limit. For other's, their BAL could be well above the legal limit, and still be emotionally fine.

All humans have emotion, its not necessary means they are not emotional at all or they are emotional all the time. People are experiencing different levels of emotions depending on circumstances, current situation, personal events and so on.
Depression is a bad thing in itself, so yes. However, people can go through emotional spurts of instability. I myself have a "special" form of depression and am also planning to minor in psychology in college, so you can trust me. Not to be rude in any way, but you probably are experiencing hormonal changes.
