There are basically three kinds of climate forcing:

  1. Forcing from Greenhouse gases.
  2. Other anthropogenic (man-made) forcing (soot, reflective particles, soil and dust, landcover changes like de- or re-forestation and human changes of clouds)
  3. Natural forcings like changes in the sun's energy and volcanic emissions.
The one that has the least effect on global climate is Natural forcings.

The human activity most likely to impact climate on a global scale is?

combustion of fossil fuels

What process is the least likely to affect a regions climate?

Global Warming

Is global warming affecting the climate?

Yes. Global warming is causing climate change, meaning hotter, wetter, drier in different parts of the earth, with storms likely to be stronger. Ice melting is causing sea level rise causing threats of permanent flooding to low lying coastal areas.

How does global warming affect red kangaroos?

The main way in which climate change is affecting koalas is that Australia is becoming prone to more frequent and intense bushfires which, of course, kill koalas. Eucalyptus bushland will always regenerate after a bushfire - that is the way Australian native plants are designed - but the impact on the koala population can be quite devastating. Koalas simply have nowhere to run and hide during a bushfire. Another way in which climate change can affect koalas is that, with increasing droughts that extend over a wider range and continue for longer, this does impact on healthy gum trees of the type favoured by koalas. As a consequence, koalas are more likely to wander beyond their home trees, which uts them at risk of being hit by cars or attacked by dogs.

What caused the little ice age?

Scientists aren't exactly sure, though it was likely at least partially due to a reduction in solar radiation reaching the Earth possibly through an extended sun spot minimum. The Little Ice Age was centered across the North Atlantic and surrounding land areas, which is why some people assume it was global (because most of our records are from that area). For different reasons having to do with the nature of the climate system, a global climate forcing can be amplified in this region.

Where is the CD changer located for a 1998 Ford Taurus?

The CD changer is located in a small box in the trunk. Some cars have the CD controller but not the CD changer. It was likely an expensive add on at the dealer.

Where would you encounter climate change?

Climate change is beginning to be seen in many places round the world. Recent record breaking heat waves have led scientists to say that it is "very likely" that these are being aggravated by global warming and climate change.

How does the climate change in Europe?

Climate change is one of our greatest environmental, social and economic threats. The warming of the climate system is unequivocal, says the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Observations show increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global mean sea level. It is very likely that most of the warming can be attributed to the emissions of greenhouse gases by human activities.

What evidence is there that disproves global warming?

No evidence disproves it. There is some evidence which at face value may seem to contraindicate human activity as the primary cause of global warming, but that evidence is most likely simply misinterpreted, in view of all the evidence supporting the hypothesis. One example was a recent study on cosmic rays. Editors at the Wall Street Journal jumped on this study as "proving" humans could not be responsible for global warming, even though the authors of the study could show no long term variation in cosmic ray bombardment, nor any significant impact of cosmic rays upon actual climate. In point of fact, in the opening paragraphs of that very study the authors acknowledged the human contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and their impact upon the global climate.

What is one effect that will most likely occur if the ozone continues to be destroyed?

Climate Change (Global Warming). It's already happening, but it will get worse is the ozone continues to be destroyed.

Could you help work out a topic of interest from the theme global warming for preschool kids?

Introducing global warming to preschool children would most likely just confuse them. A complex issue like global warming or climate change should probably be saved for an older age.

The farther you live from an ocea the more likely will be a what?

The farther that you live from an ocean, the more likely you will be living in a continental climate. A continental climate is a relatively dry climate with hot summers and cold winters.
