first thing to check would be ALL the vaccum lines going to the motor. there is one that is on the front of the throttle body for the non-vortech motor that is prone to coming off. so if any have slipped off, slide them back on and use a pair of pliers to twist a piece of tie/bailing wire tightly around the line to keep it from coming off

I had the same problem, most of the time at low speeds. I replaced the upstream (before catalytic converter) oxygen sensor and the problem was fixed. you might want to have auto zone do a free diagnostic code check to find out exactly which o2 sensor it is.

Your transmission is going out... Buy a bottle of Lucas transmission fix, pour it in, make sure you warm the veh. up for at least 15 minutes before driving it, and pray it gets you through till you can get a new one. Not fun!!!
