that depends on what happens when you try to start it. if when you turn the key nothing happens, then you probably have a loose wire some where so check the battery cables and all the wires on the starter. if when you turn the key it tries to start but won't turn over, then turn the key to the off position, press the gas pedal to the floor and while holding the gas down try again. that's how i had to start my old cavalier and I'm still not sure why that worked.
replace your starter assembly
I think I'd replace the fuel filter. That's a quick, easy, cheap place to start. FriPilot
i have a 2001 pontiac sunfire antitheft problem will not start anttheft light flashs on dash i can turn motor over buy jump starter but will not start
I have a 1999 Sunfire and I have problems with the theft system too. Sometimes, I am able to pull the fuses and put them back and it'll start. Other times, I have to just sit and wait (for about 8 minutes) and then it'll start.
when it is worm you got to keep the throttle down to start
Perhaps a badly clogged fuel filter?
My car won't. Start no power to the fuel pump because of the antitheft
the code is US0374 in it's American and will be changed to EU6392 if it's been shipped to Europe
you would have to change the bumper and fenders on your sunfire to get the hood to fit but to start off u would have to change the front bumper clip to interchange bumpers
you will get a hint when the car begins to lose power, start to sputter, or even stall.
listen for hum in back of car when turning key just to run. if nothing, it may be fuel pump issue. if ok, it may also be a fuel filter, crank or cam sensor, ignition coil.
Increased Engine load = more amperage
