This is just one of many possibilities I'm sure, but have you checked out the BCM (Body Control Module)? It is the computer that controls several functions such as ignition, automatic windows and door locks, rear window wiper, blower for the heat/a.c.... i know on my 1996 rodeo it is located under the dash on the passenger side up against the outter wall. you have to pull up the carpet to see it. it costs about ten bucks at a salvage yard to replace it. -jeanne Spain (JeanneESpain@AOL.com)
2000 Isuzu Rodeo won't start!!! I had this problem at first I thought it was the fuel pump because it would start with starting fluid so I changed it and it ran for two days before the ecm fuse blew and I could not find the problem until I found somone who had a bad connection at the four connectors under the hood on the driver side by the air box so I got a small 12 volt light with wires turned the key on removed the ecm fuse and put one wire on the positive of the batt and one on the fuse post that made the light brite you could go from fuse post to fuse post also if it doesn't light brite it is not sorted at that time but go wiggle the wires on the driver side I found mine on the wires coming out of the computer (ecm) going to the engine it had rubbed throgh on the inner fender and had bare wires I cut it open repaied the damage and was on the road.It looked like it could be a common problem and wanted to let people know
Is it new? if it is it's not the battery. If it's really old your battery most likely is leaking.
it could be the control module
does the kia have a remote voltage regulator
Most calculators need very little maintenance. If keys are sticking, the keyboard can be disassembled and cleaned; batteries can be replaced and battery contacts cleaned; and charger sockets can be replaced or repaired. That is about it, though.
the problem is in your high beam switch. there is a short in it and it needs to be replaced
starter motor or ignition
check the number on the battery a 36 month battery can last 36 months but varies on conditions and maintenance practices. if it is bad though you may get some credit for the difference between how long it is supposed to last and how long it actually did. 3 years is not bad though
There could be a bad sylanoid or a bad starter...
Your battery is dead (even though you have some power), jump start it and when car is running test voltage to see if alternator needs to be replaced. Also ensure battery terminals are properly secure if you have no luck.
I do not know, I have a 1999 and mine quit just about two months ago, I have replaced the battery and that didn't help, maybe you should try your battery though. I will probably just order a new keyless entry.
Check your connections. bad connections can make a battery not charge or not power the phone.
This same thing happened to me. The battery light would come on but my car would run fine then a few days later my engine started overheating and it turned out the fan belt had went. Once i replaced the fan belt everything was fine.
