Many things can go wrong with a vehicle now a days that dont affect the way it runs, you should take this as a sign that things are starting to show problems and you need to get it checked by computer before things get worse. The engine code can be pulled at any auto parts store but the transmission code may need to be accessed at the dealer. A blinking light usually indicates a problem that needs attention right away so dont wait.
