Fuel filters... air pockets in fuel lines if fuel filters have been replaced lately, could be because of alternator is going bad and it goesnt have enough power to keep running you can bang on it with a hammer... works trust me get all the dust and crap out and it will extend life just enough for you to drive to schucks or napa to get new one and install at home. So to check alternator start car and disconnect negative wire if it dies then alternator bad. No battery issues because it wouldn't crack in the fist place if that's what it was. Umm what else check the coolant and oil my main reason for this is alternator and fuel filters so check on that

no, the thermostat would have nothing to do with the car not starting.
A bad oil sending unit, a bad oil sensor.
Maybe a throttle positioning sensor? Is it hard to start? Does it start then stall?

A worn belt will cause a squealing noise. The squealing noise is caused when the belt slips. Tightening the belt will temporarily fix the problem.
Probably a bad gas cap.
