Rough idle can be a vacuum leak. Your car is 10 years old, replace the vacuum hoses under the hood, and replace one at a time as to not get confused. The overheating can be a sticking thermostat, cooling fan not coming on as it should, or radiator clogged. Service the cooling system by draining the system, replacing the thermostat, flushing the system, and installing a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and distilled water. Check the operation of the cooling fan/fans. The fan should run continuously with the A/C on.
