Steering column u-joint defective.
loose or bad u joints.
Clunking/knocking sound felt though steering wheel and floor when turning and going over bumps at low speeds.
soounds like steering wheel fluid needs to up
It could be the ball bearings or the ball joints or the breaks but not to sure but that's what it was on mine.
Could be many things, ball joints usually make clunking noises (usually one when turning and one when turning the wheel from turning), cv joints usually make a clicking noise and vibrate under load. Have it checked out, les schwab will do it for free (check it).
tie rod
Power Steering Pump
Bad U-Joint
Wheel bearings or u joints
If there is a clunking sound when turning a vehicle, the problem might be the ball joints in the front end. The ball joints help to support the A-Frame which helps to keep the wheel on and upright.
If your steering wheel is vibrating or jimmying while under normal driving conditions this indicates that your tire are out of balance, or have been worn incorrectly. You may have a bad alignment, bad control arm bushings, improper toe/chamber or the wrong tire compound. If your wheel vibrates while turning, then your power steering pump is failing, and needs refurbished or replaced immediately.
