I have a 2001 Dodge Ram that had a similar noise. It only did it at low speed and usually when making a right turn such as turning into a parking space. I checked the entire front end and found no problems. I finally decided to check the rear end fluid since sometimes noise can be be misleading as to the source. I had about 40000 miles on the truck and the fluid level was good. I decided to change to rear axle fluid anyway. After a complete fluid change , the noise went away and no more problem. One thing I did do when I changed the fluid was use Mobil 1 synthetic and also some Lucas Oil Stabilizer. I am a big fan of all the Lucas products after seeing a demo at the local auto parts store. If you are interested in these products here is the website with some information: http://www.lucasoil.com/products/index.sd . Whatever you use just make it sure it is the correct lube. I hope this helps you out with your problem. I'm at 54000 miles now and still haven't heard any noise. Best of Luck to you.
Rotors are worped most likely
Front rotors are warped and need to be replaced. Could be an out of round disc brake rotor
It sounds like wheel bearings. They make a noise while they're in one position but when you hit the brake, it moves them a little, and the noise stops.
Warped rotors is the most likely cause. Seek professional help.
Have that tire checked sometimes the belts inside can break and cause a thumping noise
warped rotors, you probably had someone put on new tires with an inpact wrench and overtightened the lug nuts , this uneven tightening causes the rotors to warp giving a pulsating feel to the brake pedal and a thumping noise to the brakes.
A busted motor mount, for one.
I think i can help; where are you from?
Bass
Maybe that thumping noise is the sound of another car smashing into the rear of your car.
Check the brake pads. The most common cause of the noise is the pad backer grinding against the brake rotor.
Take it to the garage and have them check for a cracked rotor or a loose caliper.
