The swelling of the lymph node glands in a ferret may caused by several illnesses possibly caused from an infection or cancer. A verternarian will have to diagnose your ferret for treatment
Rats and mice would know that a ferret is around by their scent.
congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema
it desrupt both perfusion and diffusion in lungs
I would advise against it. If the peat moss (or other plant materials) are eaten it can easily cause an intestinal blockage. Instead I would get a ferret harness and leash and take it outside instead, I think this would be more fun for the ferret.
A shed would not be an ideal home for a pet ferret as they are domesticated animals and very susceptible to weather and predators. I would suggest researching first before you get a ferret. An ideal habitat for a ferret would be a large cage with lots a blanks and hammocks. Also a litter box with wood pellet litter rather then regular cat litter because it can cause breathing issues as they will like to dig and play in it. Best advice would be to talk to a shelter... there are plenty around that has a lot of experience to assist.
An abscess occurs when an area of tissue becomes infected and the body's immune system tries to fight it. Most likely your ferret had a wound that became infected.
Ferrets can get quite comfortable in their habitats and a change could cause stress. Depends on the individual ferret. Some are more adaptable than others
If your male ferret has not been altered and is in season, if you would like to breed him, then he would need a Jill ferret.
How much does the ferret weigh.
A severe infestation of heart worms could result in the development of ventral edema due to blockage of the return flow of blood to the heart. The edema would make a dog look like he had "swelled up".
A ferret would be at risk if you don't know the proper care
lots of unhealthy treats.... why would you want a fat ferret? they're not as playful and it's bad for the ferret
