accelerator pump inside the carburator
Hesitation can be caused by several things: 1. A faulty throttle position sensor might cause hesitation. 2. A faulty MAP or MAF sensor might also cause hesitation. 3. A problem with the engine control module might cause hesitation.
Could be timing belt/chain is worn
yes definitely my 96 Chevy was stalling every time i stopped at a light or stop sign and my brother changed my crank shaft sensor and it doesn't do it anymore.
It is important to have a well working car while on the road. The lack of fuel getting to the engine would cause hesitation on acceleration,
I am wondering if the engine is a 2.4 or a 2.7. if you have high mileage and have never changed spark plug or spark plug wires you could have a dead plug or wire or both. your timing could also be the culprit. do you have to crank a long time when the engine is cold to start it? if so the timing belt could have jumped a notch.this would cause the valves to be slightly open at the wrong time.these are some things tocheck Good luck
Adjust your clutch cable.
What would cause the engine not to restart when hot Chevy Trailblazer 2007?
Numerous things can cause a car to hesitate when trying to start. Almost always it has to do with the fuel delivery system. A dirty fuel filter, dirty injectors, worn fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, etc. Most often the problem has to do with what kind of hesitation. With a 1998 Cavalier, I would start with the Injectors. STP???
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
Bad plugs, wire , or coil pack.
Torque converter going bad.
Change the plugs and wires. also check the throttle position sensor or have it tested
