Locks up
I have a 2001 Nissan quest, recently my door locks are malfunction, when I pull the door in it locks, when key in ignition it locks, what cause this problem?
If you actuate them continuously for long periods of time, or if there's a short to power in the circuit, it could happen.
1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. 2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. 3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. 4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Using the drivers side switch, cycle the power door locks LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK, UNLOCK. Cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the run position. The power door locks should cycle to indicate program mode, vehicle is ready to accept remotes. Press any button on the remote, once again the locks will cycle to indicate a successful program. Turn the ignition off to exit the program mode.
The cause of your power doors and locks and radio volume not to work could be a blown fuse. Locate the proper fuse to ensure it has not blown.
cause it's cool like that!
No, they don't. Some programs may, but for Locks of Love, you just donate it for the good cause.
I had a 1999 Montana in which the door locks would cycle from lock to unlock, also when I turned on (if I remember the right turn signal). Took to dealer and they diagnosed the BCM (body control module) bad. I did NOT have them replace it due to cost. The problem was a bad ground connection for the BCM.
