Most likely you either.... 1. ran the motor out of oil 2. had an oil pump failure 3. had a bearing failure No matter the reason, if the motor stopped, chances are that you seized up the motor.
i had a 1982 Chevy caprice classic that had a 4.4 small V8 olsmoblie engine in it.
The thermostat on a 94 Chevy caprice classic is behind the water pump in the front center of the engine.
Yes
A 1987 Chevy Caprice Classic with the original engine does have a carb and the engine is a 305, because I have one. This can have a 307. I have an 87 Caprice Estate Wagon, with a 5.0 liter 307 olds. Which, is actually for sale.
What is the engine in the Caprice? In the Suburban? If they are a 305/350 then they can be interchanged. I have a 1985 Caprice Classic with a 305 and the tranny came out of a 1987 Suburban. It depends on the engine.
Yes you can.
Look at the bottom rear of the engine
