I have the same problem with a '82 Poweram 150 - It was suggested to me that it could be the engine is improperly connected to the negative terminal on the battery. Take jumper cables and ground one side to the negative terminal, the other clipped to the engine near the distributor. Might do the trick.

Bad coil? Bad distributor cap? Bad distributor rotor?
Fix the cause, or keep adding fluid.
bad ground or electronic box/ballest resistor (white porcline box) is bad depending on what month it was manufactured it might have a fuel or spark control computer and still have the holley 2 bbl carburetor on drivers side inner fender

Spark Plug gap for a 1986 Chevy Nova 1.6L is .043.
do u have spark and fuel???? do u hook up the jump per cables back words ??????
