You did not say what engine you had, so if it is a stock motor depending on the year and the compression it could be bad or low octane gas. if you are using good gas, try backing the timing down till doesn't knock under accelloration or under a load as in going up hill.
a "knocking" noise could be your lifters. and the ticking when accelerating and letting out of the gas is the same thing. check your oil and if it's full then you may need to think about either having them adjusted, or getting new ones. depending on what you have depends on whether or not you wanna sell it
Many things actually, like not taking care of your vehicle and letting the oil in it get bad, which could cause the engine to blow up!
Sorry bud but that means that you have what's called a " Rod knock", one or more of the main and or the rod bearings have gone away, need to break that engine down to fix it. jr
it probably doesn't like the food you are giving it. make sure it is parakeet food. if you are trying to experiment, make sure you know what food it likes to have it as backup. if it can fly try letting it out, it might want to play...
Cloverleafing is the practice of reaching out from a set point to those in a surrounding area. An example would be, a salesman just sold a product in someone's home. From that set point, he reaches out to the surrounding neighbors, through mail or door knocking, letting them also know of his product or service. If you look at a cloverleaf, the center branches out to the surrounding leaves, hence the term - cloverleafing.
Is there any smoke when you first start it? what is happening is the valve seals are probably worn and letting the oil seep past them. when your engine is first started it has no oil or very little oil at the top of the engine, thus causing the knocking noise. could be more but this is a most likely . oh and is you haven't changed your oil every 3,000 miles you had beeter start doing it.... knocking sounds usually come from bottom of engine try a better quality and correct viscosity oil does it stop after warming up? could be faulity engine lifters. lpaws45. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- lpaws45 is pretty accurate for most engines with a genuine engine knock. But on a Mitsubishi Endeavor, my guess is you aren't using premium (91 octane) fuel 100% of the time as recommended by Mitsubishi. This creates carbon build-up on top of the pistons which in turn creates a knocking sound very similar to a lower-end engine knock. This knock will eventually occur at all times, hot or cold. The cure is to have an engine decarbon procedure performed (having a professional run a solvent through the intake vacuum) and start using premium fuel. The added fuel mileage from using premium with a 3.8 liter Mitsubishi V6 will more than pay for the extra cost.
Do you have the 5 speed manual version or the automatic? If it is the manual version then its just because you are letting out of the clutch too fast
Maybe an arm reaching out (with) an open hand...like...letting something happen, or letting someone do something.. :)Linnea Clark: D
"Dumping the clutch" refers to letting the clutch out very quickly and usually results in one of the following: spinning the tires accelerating quickly damage to the drive-train
