Replace the fuel filter if it has one that you can replace. If the spark plugs have not been changed in 75,000 miles or more then replace them. Also add a can of Seafoam Engine Treatment or Techron Fuel System cleaner to to full tank of fuel.

There are many things that would cause a 1999 Chevy Lumina to stall. The car could be too low on fuel, have a leak in the fuel line, or an old fuel pump or filter.
I would suspect fuel pump failure.
