A bad alternator. Turning the steering wheel all the way is very demanding on the Power Steering which draws power from the engine and can cause the idle to dip down. A weak alternator is usually the cause for the stalling.
If the steering wheel has radio controls on the wheel, there could be a problem in the wiring. When the wires connect electrically it will cause stations to change.
Well, if your steering wheel was crooked it can cause the car to lock up, jiggle the steering wheel WHILE turning the key in the ignition.

The Steering Column locks the wheel in place and when the steering wheel is locked you cannot turn the key... try turning the key with gentle force while turning the steering wheel back and forth.

It could be low fluid in the power steering pump.
Your power steering pump when their is a lack of power will stall and cause the engine to stall or shut off. It could also be the wiring behind the ignition key, loose or shorting against the wheel shaft as it turns.
