It depends on how much you have swallowed and what the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide was (the percentage should be printed on the label or bottle).

For 3% concentrations, a capful won't bother you but more than a few tablespoons may irritate your mouth and throat and cause abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.

If the concentration is higher than 3% or you have swallowed a lot, you should see a doctor.

Ingestion of dilute solutions of hydrogen peroxide may result in vomiting, mild gastrointestinal irritation, gastric distension, and on rare occasions, gastrointestinal erosions or embolism (blockage of blood vessels by air bubbles). Ingestion of solutions of 10-20% strength produces similar symptoms, but exposed tissues may also be burned. Ingestion of even more concentrated solutions, in addition to the above, may also induce rapid loss of consciousness followed by respiratory paralysis. Hydrogen peroxide is toxic. Recently, there has been an internet scam encouraging people to drink hydrogen peroxide as a cure for cancer. It is not a cure for cancer and can even be fatal.

When this happens the hydrogen peroxide substance basically evaporates and kills the germs of the wound. If there is any germs in bilosiates or as you know as "bubbles up"
this is when the substance is destroying the germs which keeps you clean and free of chance of infection.

Hydrogen peroxide shouldn't get into your body at all. For some strange reason the people trying to cheat drug tests will dump hydrogen peroxide into their pee. "Oh, you can smoke all the weed you want and by just dumping a little peroxide into your specimen you'll pass the test!" Uhh...kids, that's the first thing we test for. It's not supposed to be in your pee, so if it is we know you've been doing things you shouldn't.

What happens when manganese dioxide is added to hydrogen peroxide and why was manganese dioxide added to the test tube containing hydrogen peroxide?

Yes, it would bubble because the bubbles are the result of the breakdown of two hydrogen peroxide molecules into oxygen and two water molecules.

What best describes a buffer?

A buffer is a substance in a solution that releases and captures hydrogen ions, keeping the pH the same.Sodium hydroxide, a base, is added to the solution, but the pH of the solution does not changeA buffer resists change in pH by accepting hydrogen ions when acids are added to the solution and donating hydrogen ions when bases are added.
