Your body would not function and you would be considered brain dead if none worked or if only one did not work the target that the nerve is going to would not work, for example a muscle or gland.
If you didn't have nerve cells, you could bleed out quickly. One example is if there's a needle on the ground and you accidentally stepped on it, the nerve cells will transfer the pain to your brain, then you would feel it and you would take care of the damage. If you didn't have them, you wouldn't feel the pain then you'll bleed out. You don't want that to happen. That's why you have nerve cells!
The Nerve Tissue is told by the brain what you are feeling.It is like me saying no to someone what would there reaction be " oh im sorry"! So if your brain told "you hurt yourself" your reaction would be saying something along the lines of ouch that hurt or something of that simile.So your nerve makes that happen its blends in with the category of touch for sense.
