The compass would point south, except near positive end of the magnet. It will point north. 6th grade power!!
Nothing will happen.
it farts then it poops
The compass will align itself with the magnetic field generated by the current flow through the wires.
Chemical energy to electrical energy
Nothing special should happen. What matters for the bulb is the voltage difference between its ends.
granite
If terminals of the battery are reversed, it will short the device that is using the battery. On a car reversing the cables can blow fuses, melt wires, and fry computers.
The battery might drain
On any car, switching the battery hookups will most likely fry your battery.
there will be little or no change
It may destroy the battery or it may just blow the main fuse or it may do other damage. No way of knowing for sure what will happen.
Depends on what kind of battery you lick. If you lick a D, C, AA or AAA battery, nothing will happen because your tongue won't touch both positive and negative terminals. However, if you lick a 4.5-Volt or a 9-Volt battery so that your tongue touches both positive and negative terminals, you'll feel a slight unpleasant harmless shock.
If a battery is "shorted", meaning that its terminals are connected together through a low resistance, high current flows in the connection and the battery becomes discharged very soon. It makes no difference whether any part of the battery is connected to ground.
Nothing. An auto battery system is 12V DC. If both terminals aren't in the loop (positive through the current path and back to negative) nothing happens.
It will not fit in the space provided or the posts may be reversed. As long as you connect the positive and negative terminals correctly it will function as any battery should. Just make sure you do not buy the wrong battery.
it depends of what accessories or electronic devices that switched the battery terminals. for ex. starter motor it will reverse the circulation if you reverse the polarity
