Like many posters have already mentioned, our landfills would increase with stuff that could have been recycled or reused. The last time I checked we only had so much land to begin with and at some point it will all be inhabited. Most cities now have curbside recycling so I suppose the question would be why don't you? It takes less effort tossing those items into the bin versus throwing the item away in a trash can and then having to eventually put it into a garbage bag. I even take recycling a step further and have created a webpage for people interested in trying to recycle unique item or parts so that further will reduce the stuff that is sent to a landfill and at the same time maybe making some money for that will encourage you to do something for the environment.

Little I'm afraid, Its only recently people really started recycling. Recycling does however reduce waste management costs and saves more land fills from being made. Although I personally believe global warming or climate change is a natural occurrence which would happen regardless of human involvement, scientists believe recycling reduces the effects of global warming and climate change.

Tons of trash build up would begin to form, causing significant increases in pollution. Also, more Natural Resources and electricity would be used and wasted to make up for what would have been produced by the recycled goods.

It could affect your environment because you cut down up to 10,000,000 (10 million) trees a day because of paper so if you did recycle paper you would be cutting down the number of trees getting cut down everyday.
