If mountains weren't being formed there would be a lot more earthquakes. This would be due to the build up of pressure at the fault lines.
because the tectonic plates are moving beneth the earths crust, colliding with each other. if someone live along one of these fault lines between the plates they would experience a large earthquake.
Normal fault.
A normal fault is a fault in which the hanging wall has moved downward relative to the footwall.
You need to find the rating label on the unit. It would not be unusual for this to happen. I expect you need a 20 amp circuit.
You can purchase the brooks cascadia 6 from this website - http://www.brooksrunning.com/Cascadia-6/Cascadia-6,default,pg.html . You can make a choice from that link of which type you would like and add them to a shopping basket, from which you can pay for them.
people would die
Seattle is located very close to the Cascadia subduction zone, where earthquakes of magnitude 9.0 have occurred in the past. The San Andreas fault which bypasses San Francisco, is not capable of such an earthquake due to it being a transform fault, where the maximum magnitude would be about 7.8-8.0.
A sudden shift of the earth's crust along a fault could result in an earthquake.
It's hard to say why people would knowingly build on a fault line. Usually it seems to be a case of people assuming that nothing bad will happen.
Could be a touchy subject if you happen to also work for the same company that owns the truck. they would probably be at fault, and they most likely have insurance for such an event. if they happen to not have insurance or refuse to pay, then i would start contacting small-claims lawyers.
If an earthquake so catastrophic forced the outer side of the San Andreas fault to "break off", a tsunami would fly across the pacific. Wiping out all continents in its path.
Plasma Membrane is the outer covering of the cell that seperates its content from the surrounding medium. It is a selectively permeable membrane . If it rupture or breaks down the cytoplasm will come in direct contact with the surrounding medium and the act of selection will stop.
This would have been an aftershock from the main earthquake that occurred on the 27th of February. The aftershocks occur because there are still stress concentrations in the crust around the fault even after the main quake and these concentrations of stress (and their resultant strain) can still cause fault ruptures leading to earthquakes. For more information on the major earthquake in Chile on the 27th of February, please see the related question.

well you would be at fault for changing lanes into then, and they would be at fault for not having a licences
Normal fault.
