if we had no lungs we would die because we need our lungs to breathe. the reason we need our lungs is that we need to get oxygen into our system. We need oxygen because without it we could not respirate (getting energy from our food).
Nature has a way.
Instead of lungs, humans would have evolved a different respiratory system.
There are actually animals that don't have lungs.
Fish have gills instead of lungs.
Some reptiles even absorb oxygen through the pores of their skin, instead of breathing.
If humans didn't have lungs, nature would find a way for us to survive.
If you didn't not have a heart then your blood would not be able to pump around your body so for that reason you would die.
You die. If you don't have lungs you can't breathe
there would be no tracia so the air wouldent reach us and we would die immedetly
you would DIE
What would happen when the lungs shWhat would happen when the lungs shut downut down

If both lungs were removed, the person would die.
You will die.
If you held your breath, the concentration of oxygen in your lungs would decrease. The concentration of carbon dioxide would increase in your lungs.
Someone without lungs will die almost immediately because then they would be able to have air flow in and out of them....
Without surfactant, the wet surfaces of the alveoli in your lungs would stick together and your lungs would not be able to expand.
For an organism with lungs : suffocation.
It would increase.
You would not be able to digest or breathe through your lungs.
There would be a good chance that you would get food or drink in your lungs when you eat and/or drink.
You would cough or choke
