Without emotions, we'd have no ability or desire to communicate with other members of the Human race. We'd have no signals for pleasure, negativity, no drive to reproduce or experiment scientifically. Without emotions, the Human race would be less able than the common rabbit - certain emotions such as fear and pain may seem pointless, but they are actually incredibly important to our well being. Without pain, we would be unaware of our health/damage and die without warning due to injuries. Without fear, we'd have no self preservation.

In short, the Human race would be gimped - unable to communicate or feel effectively, and despite our massive intelligence, we'd likely die out, for there'd be no reason to do anything (emotions drive us to react based on how we feel.) No Communication, feelings, warnings, desires, need to reproduce, need to create/invent, need to survive. We may as well be 'vegetables'.
