If the business is a catering business it would depend on if you were an employee of the business - (in which case you should be asked to stay home until you are better), or a customer.
If a customer and you have been to your doctor, you should discuss the matter with him/her and the doctor may choose to inform the public health officials (they may then investigate).
If you were a customer and you think you could prove your problem stems from the catering establishment, you could contact your attorney for advice.
