It would die because plants need sun to survive. The sun is the only thing that will help plants make their own food. If there was a small opening in the room that let in sunlight however, the plant would grow towards the opening or the light to get it's food.

∙ 11y agoIf you put a plant in a dark room with the plant pot on its side. the plant will still grow, due to geotropism, even though photosynthesis is disabled, the plant Carry's on growing with geotropism which makes the roots still travel downwards towards the centre of the earth instead of sideways.
