What would of happened if the constitution had not been ratified?

If the US Constitution had not been ratified, one or more of the former colonies might have continued as separate states, governing themselves. It is doubt ful that any of them could have maintained their independence over a long time period due to their small size.

∙ 15y agoIf it wasn't ratified we would have a government that was out of control. We would have judges acting as legislators. We would have a congress that acts in government's best interest instead of the citizens'. We would have presidents that worry more about keeping their job instead of protecting the citizens. We would have a slow but steading loss of freedoms. We would become more and more dominated and dependent on our elected officials. Basically the same thing that happpened after it was ratified, only faster.

∙ 12y agoIf the Constitution of India was never written the country would have continued to be governed by the Government of India Act of 1935 enacted law during the British rule of India. This law which is considered mother of our present constitution was amendable as and when need arose by the Indian Central Legislature.
