Its gonna cost alot.
Your better off putting a new engine in..
It happened to me and i used Steel Seal...Its cost is exorbitant but its well worth it..for the fix..
Get the necessary amount of steel seal and put it in your radiator..No thermostat to take out...And if it doesnt work they will send you more or refund your money..
I cant say enough about the generosity of this manufacturer.
Pour it in and hold the car at an idle of 1000 rpm's for an hour exactly .
Ohhh, that sounds bad. You probably have a blown seal or gasket. Get it fixed ASAP, that's dangerous.
Pretty expensive (from a garage). Most people scrap their cars after a head gasket has blown, or get a new engine.
Possible blown head gasket or cracked head. Have this looked at by a professional ASAP, and do not drive this car until you get it fixed. Blown intake manifold gasket or blown head gasket, figure on $600 to $650 to get intake gasket fixed and if a head gasket your looking at least $1,000.
I had the same problem with my 98 firebird. Took it to good auto repair shop and they fixed them with no problem. Not cheap but not that expensive. Can't remember the explanation of why they did this.
It is most likely a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Chemical sealers generally do not work. Your best bet is to replace the head gasket and inspect the head for damage.
Blown head gaskets cannot be "fixed", they have to be replaced. If you are mechanically inclined and want to try and do it yourself, get a Hayne's or Chilton's repair manual for your vehicle to find everything on how to do it.
Are you asking why is your coolant disappearing? If so, it can be a number of things. A blown head gasket, leaking water pump, radiator, heater core, hose, to name a few. If you can see no apparent leak after driving the vehicle then suspect a blown head gasket. As this can do serious damage to your engine, I suggest you have this fixed ASAP.
I have a 2002 Pontiac Gramd Am and its in the shop right now getting the Intake Manifold Gasket fixed on it! Its about $2000 with labor costs and everything! Rediculous! Its supposidly VERY common in these vehicles....They should do a re-call!
more than likely not...you will be dumping alot of water to in the oil....it could be a exhaust manifold gasket
price varys from your car model and where u buy the head gasket or where u go to it fixed. our best bet is calling around to see your local automobile part store for the best prices
You have a blown head gasket i would not drive it until it has been fixed
