What would it cost to repair the timing belt on a 2000 Ford Contour SE 4.0 with and without an interference crankshaft valve?

About $250.00. But, if the valves did get damaged due to timing belt failure, then the cost could easily rise to $1500.00.

It is non-interference. I think some mechanics say it is an interference type because one of the major repair manuals incorrectly states that it is interference, it is not...
