Radio in 1990 Lexus LS400 stopped working, possible answer?
Look forward to a bill of over $2000! I had my 92 Lexus LS400 converted for $2,456! :(
Yes these are the same from 90 to 94 models www.lextechautomotivellc.com
it would be a 5 by 6 belt for a magnum for a Lexus you would need a 3 by 7
check the water pump
On my Lexus I had an issue with the lights staying off when it was cold. This was the case for all of my dashboard lights. Then they would flicker back on. There are Caps on the board for the instrument panel that were blown. This was the case for my fuel cage that didn't work consistently work as well
The starter is located on the top of the engine, at the rear of the engine. In order to get to it you will need to remove the entire intake system from the engine. I would recomend you take it to a mechanic that is familiar with the Lexus. I have had to replace 2 on my LS 400 and I had it done at a local Toyota dealer. This is about a $800.00 job.
That the lights need fixing maybe?? That the lights need fixing maybe??
If the parking/tailight fuse is good - then it may be a bad headlight switch No tail lights but the bulbs are working? Please explain.
burnt out lightbulb!
It may caused by a light installed that don't match the factory specifications, could be the wattage is a bit off or something of that nature. It could also be the lamp failure sensor. On the LS400 it is located in the trunk on the drivers-side just behind the backseat. The sensor activates the warning light when there is a break in the circuit for the brake lights or the tail-lights.
if turn signals are working , and brake lights not working, i would replace the stop light switch on the brake pedal
