either shift relay, or shift modual
It does not drop to first gear, it drops into limp mode, that means you have only gear 1 and 2. this can happen, because of wrong signals coming from a faulty speed sensor (on the gearbox) or usually the solenoid or the filters in it are blocked. Replace the solenoid and your tranny will work again like new.
All of the connecters are different, so it would fit but it would never shift properly.
The Lebaron was no longer in the lineup for Chryslr in 2006. The Chrysler Lebaron was produced between 1977-1989,and was then phsed out by Chrysler due to weak sales.

No, you would have cleaned it already.
There could be a few things on a 1995 Chrysler LeBaron causing the distributor not to have power. But first I would check the spark plugs and see if maybe they have gone bad.

You will find it (the PVC valve) in the same place as you would on a 1995 Lebaron 3.0. I own a 1990 Chrysler lebaron 3.0 v6 and found the PVC valve in the same spot. Look up where to find the PVC valve on a 1995 lebaron 3.0 on this site. Best of luck.
what would transmission not to shift in to overdrive
Could be a number of things, check your your transmission fluid, if the level is fine, it may be your transmission or clutch. Most likely your clutch, which is cheaper than a transmission.
no
VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) failure.
You would need to take the shift cable off at the transmission and move the lever manually.
