Look at the fuel nozzle insert. If its green it petrol (unleaded),,,,, black diesel.
If you 350 diesel is a 1995 it will have a manual fuel pump it is located in the middle of motor right behind the water/fuel filter look & answer on how to replace on this home page. correction ,this is not a manual fuel pump.it is a mechanical fuel pump
First off the fuel filler neck is a different size, and you cannot insert a diesel nozzle in a petrol car, secondly somewhere on the vehicle is should say diesel. Also look at the fuel gauge when it will say diesel only. Lastly read the owners manual.
should be on top of the engine. it doesent look like a normal fuel filter.

Fuel or lubrication? Lubricant looks like petrol engine lubricant, fuel is like paraffin/kerosine.

There are other characteristics of diesel engines that make them more suitable than gas engines for trucks and large equipment.
