Their populations would boom because they would no longer be preyed upon. Ultimately, though, they would most likely exceed their food supply and eventually have their own population crash.
If herbivores were removed from the planet, the food chain wouldn't have a bottom. Some carnivores eat smaller carnivores, but the lowest carnivore on the food chain would die if herbivores would be removed, causing a chain reaction and, well, the carnivores that eat that carnivore would die, and the carnivores that eat THAT carnivore will die... etc. The world would be a total mess.
Neither! An organism that eats detritus is termed a decomposer.A herbivore eats living plants, and a carnivore living animals. Decomposers make a meal out of fallen leaves, animal droppings, animal corpses, dead plants, whatever is in the compost heap, and so on.
I DONT KNOW
Another carnivore would take its place as the top. the food that the carnivore would increase (secondary carnivores). and the food that the secondary carnivores ate would decrease because there are too many secondary carnivores... The whole food chain would be affected.
Plants might get into the stomach of a carnivore if they are consumed along with the prey. This can happen when the carnivore preys on an herbivorous animal that has recently consumed plant material. Additionally, in some cases, carnivores might intentionally consume plant material for various reasons such as aiding digestion or obtaining nutrients that may be lacking in their diet.

soem of the remaining animals are likley to become immune to the disease but it is posible for extinction by other diseases and preditors and deforestation.

there will be meany more extinct, threatened preditors that will die of hunger for there food will be gone
they would fight each other until they were to tired or one killed the other
I DONT KNOW
Another species that eats the same food might decrease in population.
Lost and owned by other carnivore insects
If a food chain loses an organism, it creates an imbalance and disruption in the food chain. For example, if a species of bird becomes extinct, the insect population can grow dramatically which creates problems for other creatures.

A population must be isolated in some way.
it will decrease
