If one state attacked the other, it could cause another Civil War. States would most likely either debate it out in Congress or cause a war.
In the 1780's the 13 states agreed to give up their war-making powers. Each demanded an ironclad plede that an attack on any single state would be met as an attack on all states
Such a statement would have no effect on any state. It would only be a pronouncement. Even a state law to that intent would have no legal effect on other states.
If we are talking about the United States, then it would be Alaska. Alaska
That would be Alaska and Hawaii.
The only state that is north of Hawaii is Alaska. All other states within the United States would be located to the Northeast.
States do NOT give full faith and credit to citizens of other states. What would that even mean? That they would consider them as their own citizens? States give full faith and credit to other states' public acts, records, and judicial proceedings. Each state must consider a public act done in another state as if it were done locally; it must trust the records of another state as it trusts its own; and it must accept the judicial proceedings of other states as it accepts its own. Congress sets the precise terms under which states must accept these things. Note that if a public act in one state would not be valid in another state, that state need not accept it; for instance if a state does not allow cousins to marry each other, then it need not recognise as married a pair of cousins who got married in another state.
Yes, Hawaii is a state. Ohio is a state. All states recognize marriages from other states. If they didn't that would mean every married person who moved from states to another state would have to get married each time. Think how silly that would be.
because it depends on how large the state is for example Hawaii would have one and California would have like 40
If you have a valid drivers license from one state in the United States it would be honored in all other states in the United States. If you move from one state to another you have a certain amount of time to get a license in the state you will be residing in.
They have a larger population, so they contribute to more than a smaller state would.
Some states allow them, other don't. You would have to check with your state for the specific rules that govern their events.
States must enforce judgments entered from other states, states must hear claims that originated in other states. States must also at times limit there law in disputes involving multiple states.
