What would you do if someone put together a going-away party for your mother-in-law and doesn't talk to you about it first?

- If the person having the party is having it at their home or at a hall or restaurant then they do not have to tell you immediately, but certainly should let you know as soon as possible the plans for the party. If it is the son or daughter of your mother in law then they do not need to talk to you first. If they have not included you as yet then phone the person giving the party and simply ask how you can help and what you can bring. After all, the party is for your mother in law and nothing should ruin it for her. If the party is at your home (your husband/wife doing some of the planning) and leaving you out then by all means you should be angry at your husband/wife.
