There are different grades of receptacles. If you compare them one beside the other you can see a difference in the construction of the device. In the trade we call the cheap ones Fords and the expensive ones Cadillacs. The more expensive ones are called specification grade. These are usually called for when the job is engineered. They want the best the manufacturer can provide for their customer's project. This keeps their client satisfied by not needing to replace the units six months down the road. A specification grade receptacle will last for years under heavy use where as a lesser grade will wear out sometimes within months of being installed.
