No, they are unrelated species and cannot be bred together.
Okay, so, funny story. I was breeding lichen and crystal dragons together last month to try to get emerald, and I accidentally bred a sun dragon!!! But I was so happy! But I looked it up and it turns out that any breeding combination that includes lightning and cold elements can breed a sun dragon. Or moon. Or rainbow. Or storm. I have bred storm many times trying for moon, and it's annoying. :) oh, and a little tip, I will let you know about something I am trying out! I am trying to breed a rainbow dragon and since it involves many elements,(it IS rainbow, after all) I am going to breed a Panlong dragon (which, by the way, is limited edition, so start breeding now!) :) and then breed another hybrid dragon with it to try to get rainbow!!! Wish me luck! Oh, and by the way, I am starting to put these little tips on all of my answers. Search different questions to find my tips! And good luck at breeding! The sun dragon is hard to get.
Well the panlong dragon can be bred using a couple different methods. The panlong dragon's elements are as follows, Air, Earth, Water, and Fire. I used Mud+Blazing and for the first time I got a rainbow dragon and then a panlong dragon. Another possible combination is a Fog+Lava. Your welcome. =)

I bred a Sun Dragon by using a Storm and Fire dragon.
You will most likely get another mountain dragon.
By what I have heard, any two Legendary bred together should make a pure. However It will take a few tries to get it. I hoped I helped! :)
There is no thunder dragon.
Yes you can. Any two dragons breeding that have fire and lightning might breed a fire fly. But if you breed a lightning and fire together you will most likely get a firefly, but scorch dragons are bred the same an take 3 hours also to incubate so you might get a scorch, not a firefly
