That year MUST have the 4L60E put back in it.
NO it will not. The only year transmission that will work in the 96 IS a 1996 model.
The only transmission that will fit that truck / year is the 1996 4L60E
That would be the 4L60E And the E stands for ELECTRONIC.That is the ONLY transmission that will work in that year.
The 89 does not have a 4L60E. The 4L60E wasn't used until 1993. The predecessor to the 4L60E was the mechanically controlled 4L60, which itself was just a rebadged 700R4. It will not be compatible with a 97 model year vehicle.
NO it will not. Reason is that it the late month of 1999 chevy REDESIGNED all the engines and transmissions. Nothing under the year 1999 will fit anything over the year 1999. You MUST get a 1996 or 1997 4L60E. NO other 1 will work with out MODIFYING
The 88 year transmission will not work in the 99 because of the computer in the 99. You need a 4L60E from the year 1993 to 1995 and then it goes to 1998 to 1999. 1996 and 1997 transmissions will not work. Now if your 99 is the NEW BODY DESIGN truck then you can use these year 4L60E transmissions. From LATE MONTH 1999 to 2006 will work.
You'd need to check the VIN of your 93 S10 against manufacturer records... 93 was the first model year that the 4L60E was put into use, but some of the earlier 93 models still used the 700R4. If it came with a 4L60E, the 99 4L60E should work.. if it came with a 700R4, making the swap to a 4L60E will be a bit more complicated.
NO it will not. You MUST put a 1996 4L60E trans. back in the tahoe. No other year will interchange. The belhousing are different.
NO. V-6 and V-8 transmissions will not interchange with that year.
NO. You need a VORTEC engine from the year 1997 to 1999
The only one that will WORK is a 4L60E transmission because of the computer system in the truck. From 1993 to 1999 will interchange as long as it is a 4x4 transmission. Hear is the 2 years that WON'T WORK. 1996 and 1997.
