Answer:The Marlin model 512 Slugmaster was manufactured from 1994 to 1999. The MSRP on the Slugmaster in 1999 was $361. It has a 21 inch fully rifled barrel with a 1 in 28" twist; a walnut finished birch stock; ventilated recoil pad; 3 inch chamber; 2 shot box magazine; receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts; pressed checkering; Bolt action; adjustable rear sight; and weighs 8 pounds. There is relatively high demand for these guns right now. There are several for sale on Gunbroker from time to time, and they can sell for anywhere from $150 to $450 depending on the condition and if it has optics included. It is an excellent slug gun and in a gun review it ranks second only to the Browning A-Bolt fully rifled bolt action slug gun; which is another slug gun that was made for only a couple of years. The A-bolt is quite scarce and although you could buy it for around $800 at the time of manufacture; a good used one can bring well over $1000 and most likely can bring between $1500 to $2000.
