Babylon conquered Egypt in 565 BCE. About 525 BCE, after the overthrow of Babylon, the Persian King Cambyses entered and subjucated Egypt. The Egyptians rebelled in 486 BC, the beginning of a period of Egyptian unrest. There were to be subsequent kings and queens until the end of the Hellenistic period, but tthese were not to be native Egyptians.
