Treaty of VersitilesIf I understand your question correctly you are asking what treaty formally ended the war (World War I) in 1918. There was NO treaty that ended the war in that year (1918). There, however, was an armistice (staring 11NOV1918) that ended the fighting on the Western Front, the only remaining front in the war (more about the Eastern Front in a minute) and so ended the war. The terms of surrender were to be worked out later and came to be known as the Treaty of Versialles which was the formal treaty that ended the war. This treaty was signed by the Germans on June 30, 1919 (not sure of date--might want to check that out). So, it was the Treaty of Versialles, which came into effect into 1919 that formally ended the war. The fighting on the Eastern Front (Russia) had ended in March of 1918 when Russia signed a separate peace treaty with Germany thus withdrawing from the war. But this didn't end all the fighting in World War I. The rest of the Allied powers continued fighting until 11NOV1918.
The treaty of Westphalia ended the Thirty Year's War
Britain entered the war as a result of the German invasion of Belgium, as Britain had a defense treaty with Belgium (Britain wanted to enter the war and found a 100 year old treaty to use as pretext). Italy, who was allied with Germany before the war, did not enter on the German side as they had a defense pact, and joined with the Entente powers with promises of German and Austrian colonies and territory.
Great Britain, France, and the United States defeated Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire. Russia made a separate peace with the Entente powers a year earlier.
The seven year war achieved the following results: Treaty of Saint Petersburg, Treaty of Hamburg, Treaty of Paris and the Treaty of Huberrtusburg. It also transferred the colonial possessions between Great Britain, France and Spain.

the original treaty was simply a friendship treaty signed on October 25, 1936. but it was first referred to as the pact of steel in may of 1939
This peace treaty will occur shortly after the rapture of the Church, and will mark the beginning of the seven year tribulation period.
The Treaty of Paris, was signed on September 3, 1783, ratified by the Congress of the Confederation on January 14, 1784, and by the King of Great Britain on April 9, 1784.

The traditional answer is May 8th 1945 when Germany surrendered to the Allied Powers, but a more revised answer would be after Germany was reformed in the Fall of the Berlin Wall and a full peace treaty between Germany and the Allies was set up September 12th 1990
