The Corvette's debut was in January 1953 at the GM Motorama at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. The first two production Corvettes were completed on June 30, 1953 in Flint, Michigan. 300 Corvettes were built that year. All 1953 models were white with red interiors.
Actually, they didn't call the '68 Corvettes 'Stingray' in '68. The Stingray name was absent just for this year, then in the next year they were called 'Chevrolet Corvette Stingray'.

The Chevrolet Corvette is a high performance American sports car made by General Motors beginning in 1953. All of the 1953 Corvettes were made in Flint, Michigan with first two production units completed on June 30, 1953. The 1954 to 1981 Corvettes were made in St. Louis, Missouri. The last Corvette built at St. Louis was completed on August 1, 1981.In 1981 there was a two month overlap in production of Corvettes as some were made in St. Louis and the remaining were made in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The first Corvette completed in the Bowling Green plant rolled off the line on June 1, 1981 and all Corvettes have been made there ever since. In 1983, only 44 Corvettes were built (no actual production run for that year) but only one of them still remains which is housed at the National Corvette Museum. The Corvette is considered America's premier sports car and has had one of the longest production runs of any car in history.Thank You!I knew that corvettes were made in flint hills for a while but i didn't know that they were made in St. Louis until 81!I have also wanted to know when the first was made. From,A big corvette fan!

While most Winchesters can be identified as to the year of manufacture, the model 1906 was different.Large blocks of serial numbers were skipped in production. The highest number reached was 848,000,while the total production was only 731,852 rifles. Most of the numbers skipped were in the 1930,s.and so it is that your rifle was produced at the end of production and your serial number was one of the numbers skipped to.I would say that your rifle was made in the time frame of 1932-1935.
