Inland Carbines used SN 2912530 in Sep 1943, and ran through SN 3212519 in Jan 1944. Yours was probably mid September 1943.
From my research, the carbine was made by inland Division anywhere from january to August 1945. It should say Inland Div. by the serial number, and if it says something else, repost the question with the words over the serial number included in the question. it is a very good gun, I'm sure.
$400-$900 depending on condition and originality.
You did not give us a serial number, but ALL US military M1 Carbines were made between Septemer 1941 and August 1945. Inland produced 2,632,097 M1 Carbines, and was the only maker of the M1A1 folding wire stocked carbine.
Many books have been written on the M1 Carbine. Good luck.
It was made between may 1942 and September 1943 by Inland Division of General Motors (G.M. cars)
what year was my Winchester M1 carbine serial number 1210906 manufactured
Your inland made M-1 Carbine will sell for between 500-750 dollars, depemding on condition and a good bore.
It would depend on the serial number, if all the parts are original, if it is in bad condition and if it has ever been restored. If you repost the question with the serial number of the gun, if it is beat up or not and if it was restored I will give you a good estimate.
That is within the block of numbers assigned to the Inland Division of General Motors, and production would have been between May 1942 (serial number 6) and Sep 1943 (serial number 999999). Probably around October 1942 as a guess.
With the serial number that you provided, your serial number falls into a lot of serial numbers assigned by the goverment to Inland division of General Motors from May 1942-Sept,1943.These numbers ranged from 1-999,999.Between 1942-1945 Inland was the manufacturer of the most M-1 Carbines by the 11 assigned manufactures. They made a total of 2,394,510 M-1 carbines.
Between August and November 1944.This block of serial numbers were assigned by the Federal goverment to Inland Division of General Motors. This should be marked on top of the rear of your receiver.
With the serial number that you provided, your Springfield model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine was produced in the year 1877.
