The Page Lewis Arms Co. produced the .22 caliber Model D from 1923-1928 and it had a 20-inch barrel. In 1928 they improved the weapon, then renamed a Model 50, by increasing the barrel to 24 inches.
The page-Lewis model A target was made from 1920-1926.

Answer I collect Page & Lewis guns. I have 33 of them, 14 mdl. D's. the mdl D is the most often found. Page & Lewis made a mdl. A,B,Cand D. You will also find Page&Lewis guns marked mdl. 49, 50 &52. Page & Lewis was bought By Savage-Stevens in 1925,most books will tell you 1926,but I have printed material from 1925. See (cornellpubs.com) After Savage took over Stevens made the mdl. D,49,50and52 under the Page & Lewis name until about 1933.They also used at least one trade name (CRUSO). Value For the mdl D is $50-$150 depending on condition & possibly higher on a good day. Hope this helps. The Page-Lewis Company made the Model A, B, and C - but no Model D. Can you doublecheck the markings on the rifle? sales@countrygunsmith.net

Lewis Page Mercier died on 1875-11-02.
The Page-Lewis Model 50 was discontinued in 1933. I belive they started to make them in 1928. I sold in 1933 for around 5 dollars out of the Sears catalog. Today it is worth around 150 dollars or so.
