The standard gear ratio on a 2000 Chevy Silverado extended cab 4x4 half ton truck is 3.73. This means that for 3.73 rotations of the shaft , the wheels turn one time.
check your option code tag in the glove box look for gt4 gu6 call dealer and they will tell you what ratio you have good luck
3.8
it will probably be 3.73
All you need to do is call a Chevy dealer and give them the VIN# and asked them what the gear ratio is in your truck and they will tell you what the factory gear ratio is.
I have a 2001 Chevy silverado with the 5.3 and im almost positive i have 3.42 gears
i believe it would be 3.11
from the factory the 5.3 liter Chevy has 330 horsepower at the crankshaft it has about 290 at the tires depending on gear ratio
they would be the same if both vehicles have same differentials . note that front and rear diffs on 4x4, must be matching ratio, to work properly when in 4x4
Yes it is but you will lose by the increase in gas mileage.
it will be the same as the rear diff
depends on the options chosen at purchase, call g.m with axle number
3:73 with 4:10 as option
