First of all, I'm speaking from the teenager's point of view. The cruel hard truth is that we have absolute rule over the music industry. At the moment, hip-hop and punk rock are in everybody's iPods. Hip hop isn't just for the black people anymore. At the moment, you can get anyone to dance to hip-hop. It's slowly monopolizing the music industry. The older generations frown upon our music. Admittedly, most of the stuff that's topping the charts is trashy, smutty, or all about the beat and nothing about the lyrics. Blame it all on the hormones.
