The first thing to look at is whether your IAC (idle air control) is working.
Also another is whether your base idle is correct. There are more things that can be a maybe but always basics first. You should have good sparkplugs and wires as well as correct fuel pressure. You also did not say what heppends after 10 seconds. DOes it start or NO start etc.
First what motor is in the van? Than tell me what it does before it stalls or you put it in gear. There many different possiables that it could be.
