Whats wrong with a 99 Nissan Sentra when it wont start unless you hold the gas pedal down when starting it up?

It happened to my 2002 Nissan Sentra but once it starts it runs fine and restarts fine. I filled up my gas tank with 91 octane and poured one lucas injector cleaner (ran my car in freeway) and changed my engine coolant temperature sensor. These two things worked for me. My car is starting fine for about three weeks now.
